What do we do at 631?

In 1999 Maesteg cadets have

• Flown in Bulldogs at RAF St Athan Fired .22in rifles
  
• Attended Junior and Senior NCO courses
  
• Spent a weekend at RAF St Athan. Whilst there they experienced snorkelling and canoeing, saw Tornadoes,  Sea Harriers and Hawks being serviced, and shot both the .22 No8 rifle and the  Cadet Rifle.
  

• Trained in map reading skills in Afan Argoed Country Park
  
• Undertook a Gliding Induction Course at RAF St Athan.
  
• Enjoyed an  overnight navigation exercise
  
• Camped at the old airfield near Templeton in Dyfed, including night exercises and a day walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
  
• Went to a week's Annual camp at  RAF Northolt - home of the Queens Flight ( a Bae146 is shown above) -and in Gibraltar.
